Flag of the Kingdom of Prussia

The Kingdom of Prussia (German: Königreich Preußen, French: Royaume de Prusse) emerged in Europe as a result between the personal union of the Duchy of Prussia (later East-Prussia), the Electorate of the March of Brandenburg and the lands of the Hohenzollern Dynasty. The sprawling newborn Kingdom's territory began as a paint-splat of stepping stone possessions, spanning from the Cleves, Mark, Frisia in the Flemmish Frontier, to Frankfurt and Hohenzollern in Swabia, Brandenburg and Pomerania in the Centre-North, and distant East-Prussia in oriental Europe.

In the zeitgeist of Frederick the Great's reign, Prussia emerged at the height of the 18th-century, becoming a Major Power in Continental Europe. Many historians in Germany and Europe, thus, dubbed the chapter as the Friderician Époque. In a reign lasting almost half a century, spanning 1740-1786, Frederick the Great enabled the rise of Prussia like a phoenix from ashes; he vanquished his enemies in costly wars, he fathered a German identity by challenging Austrian supremacy and liberating people from hardship, promoting the enlightenment and liberty. Through the foundations of his grandfather and father, Frederick the Great built a strong nation- an Iron Kingdom, that would entail his dreams: A perpetual realm that would last his lifetime.
