Sophia Dorothea von Hannover (16 March 1687 - 28 June 1757) was the Queen Consort of Prussia and then Queen Dowager of Prussia. She was spouse of King Frederick William I and mother to her husband's succesor, Frederick the Great (Frederick II). She was born the oldest child and only daughter to the future King of Great Britain, George I of Hannover and his wife Sophia Dorothea of Celle.
